Best Value in Luxury Five-Star Cruising
ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) August 17, 2006
Cruise ships, like hotels, come in all sizes and standards of luxury, and are designed to appeal to a wide range of budgets and tastes.
Most ships will offer an element of luxury with state-of-the-art facilities, nicely cooked meals, attentive service, intimate bars and entertainment. The essence of real true luxury cruising experience is that it provides four essential qualities; space, exclusivity, top class hospitality and absolutely no problems.
There is a world of difference between these little luxuries and those of the true luxury cruise. If it’s the real millionaire treatment you’re after, then Oceania Cruises is the one that has the best value in luxury cruising.
“Passengers can expect to be greeted on arrival with complimentary champagne, to have a spacious cabin with a walk-in wardrobe, and elegant bathroom, a well-stocked mini-bar, full in-suite dining and 24-hour room service” says Peter Bowen VP Marketing for Oceania Cruises Best Price, one of Oceania’s leading cruise specialists.
“They should never have to queue to get food or drink, and never have to wait to use equipment in the gym, or be seated in the dining room. They should be able to dine when and with whom they please, and look forward to traveling in small groups on shore excursions”, he added.
Above all, passengers on Oceania Cruises can expect delightful cruise itineraries, excellent service and passionate experiences that invoke memories to cherish. Let the cosmopolitan ambience of your surroundings soothe your mind or simply relax on deck with a cool drink and let the Oceania Cruises staff take care of you.

Iceland Named Best in Travel for 2012 by National Geographic and Lonely Planet
Reykjavik, Iceland (PRWEB) December 01, 2011
Increased northern lights activity and phenomenal nature make Iceland a must-see in 2012. For those who want to experience this award-winning destination up close, Icelandic travel agency Nordic Visitor is now offering a special Early Bird discount on all summer self-drive vacation packages.
Located just below the Arctic Circle, Iceland is by no means the most northerly landmass on earth, but as an unforgettable and adventurous travel destination, it‘s on top of the world.
Recently voted as Top Country in Lonely Planet‘s “Readers’ Choice Best of Travel 2012” awards, Iceland was also named as a “Best Trip for 2012” by the editors at National Geographic Traveler magazine. What’s more, Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, was chosen as Top City in the Lonely Planet poll, edging out Lisbon and Istanbul.
Of course, this “land of fire and ice” has been no stranger to the travel spotlight in recent years. Following the steep depreciation of Iceland’s currency in 2009, the country was selected as one of Lonely Planet‘s “10 Best Value Destinations” for 2010 and was called a “Destination to Watch” that same year by USA Today, who also named Iceland as a “Top Travel Destination” for 2011.
So what makes this small Nordic nation such a travel hotspot?
Besides the favorable exchange rate for visitors, Iceland offers unsurpassed access to amazing natural phenomena, such as the famous attractions along the Golden Circle route just an hour’s drive or bus ride from Reykjavik. In less than eight hours, visitors can stand below spouting geysers, feel the mist of a giant waterfall and walk among old Viking stomping grounds in a tectonic rift valley at Thingvellir National Park—and still be back in time for a gourmet dinner in downtown Reykjavik.
In the coming year, visitors can expect even more natural wonders as Iceland undergoes two “maximum cycles”: one that is expected to produce more intense northern lights and one that may result in increased volcanic activity. As the world was reminded by the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010, Iceland is a country still in the making, and few other destinations offer the same opportunities to witness the earth in action.
While Iceland’s unique nature is the biggest draw for visitors, Reykjavik’s lively downtown also offers plenty of charms: a bustling nightlife and music scene, the new Harpa concert hall, a busy shopping street with chic boutiques, relaxing thermal pools and spas, beautiful mountain views, various museums and a surprising assortment of cafes and coffee houses—most of which offer free Wi-Fi.
For those who’ve added Iceland to their bucket list for the New Year, Icelandic travel agency Nordic Visitor is now offering an Early Bird Special through December 31st on all self-drive packages in Iceland with arrivals between May and September 2012. These packages, including accommodation and rental car, give travelers the freedom to explore Iceland’s wonders at a more flexible pace.
On top of the special 15% discount, Nordic Visitor also provides self-drive customers with a free GPS navigation system and two authorized drivers for no additional charge along with a personalized itinerary, Iceland Road Atlas, detailed map, temporary cell phone, 24-hour emergency assistance and more.
About Nordic Visitor: With offices in Iceland, Norway and Sweden, Nordic Visitor is a fully-licensed travel agency and DMC offering unforgettable travel experiences in the Nordic countries. Staffed by local travel experts, Nordic Visitor specializes in tailor-made itineraries that cater to customers’ diverse needs and interests. Vacation packages include self-drive holidays, city breaks, northern lights tours, honeymoons, wilderness safaris, fjord cruises and much more. http://www.nordicvisitor.com

Singapore Voted World’s Third Best Cruise Port
(PRWEB) November 04, 2011
Singapore is now not only the busiest port in the world in terms of total shipping tonnage, but has also been named the best port in Asia. The importance of the Singapore free port hails back to its early days as a strategic international trading settlement, says Singapore company registration specialist Rikvin Singapore.
According to local publication TODAY, New York was ranked first on the poll with 20 per cent of cruisers saying it was their favourite stop-off. Venice followed with 13 per cent and Barcelona, Rome and Singapore rounded off the top five with 7 per cent of the votes each. Singapore was also the only Asian entry in the top five ports.
“The throughput of British cruise passengers to Singapore has increased by 40 per cent over the past two years. With the doubling of capacity in Singapore next year and some new initiatives that we have launched recently, we hope to attract more cruise passengers from all over the world,” said Christina Siaw, CEO of Singapore Cruise Centre.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is the administrative body that oversees Singapore’s role as a premier global hub port, as well as advancing and safeguarding Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. MPA takes on the roles of Port Authority, Port Regulator, Port Planner and National Maritime Representative.
Singapore is strategically located along the confluence of major global shipping routes and is a world leader in terms of shipping container volume.
Besides offering reliable and efficient cargo handling, Singapore is also one of the top bunkering ports in the world, lifting about 30 million tonnes of bunkers annually. A wide range of essential marine services are also available, including pilotage, towage, fresh water supply, crew changes, ship supplies and slop disposal.
The Singapore government also extends attractive incentives to shipping companies, such as the Maritime Cluster Fund Course Fee Subsidy (MCF-CFS) which subsidies up to 60 per cent of course fees for certifiable training based on written examinations.
Major reputable international shipping groups from leading maritime countries have made Singapore their shipping hub for Asia. As a result, Singapore’s maritime sector is an important part of its economy, comprising of more than 5,000 maritime establishments such as the Mediterranean Shipping Company and Maersk.
Although a highly lucrative industry, setting up a maritime company is a complicated and administratively lengthy process, with a high risk of rejection from the smallest error in paperwork.
This risk is further compounded if the interested entity happens to be foreign and unfamiliar with local business policies. Company registration specialists such as Rikvin Singapore assist such parties by handling the entire registration process from beginning to end.
About Rikvin:
Rikvin offers business solutions for both local and foreign investors and entrepreneurs. The firm’s specialties include company registration services, offshore company setup, incorporation and other related corporate services. Rikvin also provides professional services on accounting, taxation, immigration and application of Singapore work visa for foreign workers to work and relocate in Singapore. The World’s 25 Best Trains Divulged by The Society of International Railway Travelers®
Louisville, Kentucky (PRWEB) February 1, 2007
What does Europe’s very dignified grande dame, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, have in common with India’s wheezing, narrow-gauge geezer, the 100-year-old steam” Toy Train”?
They’re both members of a select group; namely, “The World’s Top 25 trains,” as determined by The Society of International Railway Travelers.® The Society is a fellowship of intelligent, experienced travelers who prefer the comfort, romance and fun of going by first-class trains worldwide.
Some trains on the list are over-the-top luxury, such as Rovos Rail’s Pride of Africa. Others are the most stylish and comfortable way to see remote regions, such the Trans-Siberian Express, which offers sweeping itineraries in Russia and beyond.

The selections were announced in a first-ever Special Edition of the magazine entitled The IRT Society’s Best-Loved Railway Journeys — 2007. The last time the Society published ratings of rail experiences was in 1999.
“The trains had to meet stringent standards for service, accommodation, scenery, itinerary, off-train experiences and passenger enjoyment,” said Society CEO & Publisher, Owen C. Hardy. With a few exceptions, the top trains are privately owned and operated, offering “rail cruises” on which passengers can spend the night on board.
The IRT Society’s Best-Loved Railway Journeys — 2007 includes complete descriptions of each of the “Top 25″ trains: their compartments and public spaces, equipment used and preferred routes. The cover price is $ 25, but the publication is available free of charge through March 31 for inquiries made directly to the IRT Society office.
