What Makes the Best Cheap Cruise Holidays

If you are considering spending a holiday on a cruise again – or you are a first timer looking for a good cruise – then you will certainly have many things going on in your mind. With a plethora of cruise liners ready to take you through varied destinations, it is almost confusing. For someone who has been on a cruise holiday before, it is somewhat easier to decide; but for someone new to the cruise holiday concept it is very daunting. Most people have a doubt about what makes the best cheap cruise holidays. As widely known fact is that cruise holidays are not economical enough on your pockets.

When you are looking for the best cheap cruise holiday, you need to be ready with your wish list, as it will help you find that best cheap cruise holiday for you and your family. The wish list means that you need to have decided the kind or style of cruise holiday you want to take. Whether you want a rocking and adventurous trip, or a more relaxed and calm holiday, or a cultural vacation needs to be decided beforehand.

The most important thing is your budget. Decide well, it as it will also underpin the services you get on board. Next, finalise the number of days you have to spend on a cruise holiday. Ideally, most people go for a week or ten day cruise holiday as it makes for a cheap cruise holiday. However, the cruise lines also offer vacations to the length of a fortnight or even a month and longer.

After having decided the days, now it is time to mark the cities you would like to see on your cruise holiday. Keep your itinerary such that you have enough time to see each place as well as enjoy the activities offered on the cruise. Advice can be taken from an agent when looking for the best cheap cruise holiday for you. Keep in mind the activities you want to enjoy on the cruise.

The normal cruise holiday package includes the cost of flights and transfers, accommodation, food, entertainment and some even include drinks. However, it is advisable to call the cruise company before booking your holiday to check out the activities covered in the package. They can suggest to you the ship that has the activities of your interest, as well as fitting your budget.

A best cheap cruise holiday should be comprised of the activities that you are interested in, as well as taking you to the places that you want to visit. Buying a ‘cruise only’ package is another option for a cheap cruise holiday, but then you will need to pay for your own flights and transfers. The cruise holiday packages don’t include the on-shore excursions or any personal shopping.

The best cheap cruise holiday should offer enough entertainment with music and standup comedy shows, shopping plazas and relaxation opportunities. You should enjoy your holidays to the fullest, and not be bored for even a second.

Cruise 1st has a variety of cheap cruise packages for you to choose from which are affordable and enjoyable for any vacation you want to take.

If I were to go on a cruise I think the Zuiderdam would be close to the top of my list – everything about it from the wooden decks to the wicker chairs (rather than cheap plastic ones normally seen on cruise ships) gives it a feel of class!!! :) .

A detail from the Jungle Cruise queue. It occurred to me recently that the Jungle Cruise, the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Muppet*Vision 3D share some of the same comedy DNA that’s otherwise fairly rare at Disney. They all delight in cheap puns, corny jokes and self-deprecating humor that I just can’t seem to get enough of for some reason…

Or maybe I’m just reading too much into this.

Haven’t posted a video in awhile but decided it was time to go through my inventory of shots from home and Japan to see what might fit my latest song about cruising the streets and the freedom of the open road. Yes, it’s a well worn theme, but here is my take on it done with a battered old 12 string and a cheap harmonica.

Ever Thought About Booking a Cheap Cruise?

Cruises – once only available to the rich and famous. Those with plenty of money and a separate tuxedo for every meal. That’s not longer the case, with the introduction of several cruise lines offering cheap cruises.

Now available freely to all, there’s a cruise for everyone. Young, old, couples, families, and singles. Weekend cruises, year long cruises, summer cruises and winter cruises. Exotic destinations, cosmopolitan destinations. Family orientated couples or adult only. Relaxed and casual or classic and formal, there’s a cruise to suit everyone’s requirements.

One common myth about cruise ships is that they are extortionately priced whilst onboard. The image of the rich and famous only taking cruise has led people to believe you must have deep pockets to be able to afford a coffee whilst onboard – this isn’t the case! The majority of cruises are fully all inclusive. This includes all meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper and as many snacks or meals in-between as you wish – and all soft drinks. The only things that aren’t included are alcoholic beverages. However a large amount of cruise liners now offer unlimited alcohol for a small fee when booking. Usually worth taking advantage of if you are partial to a small tipple, this can make your cheap cruise even cheaper! What’s more, a large amount of cruise lines now provide every booking with on board credit to spend on whatever you wish. This can be anywhere from £50 to a massive £250!

Cheap cruises offer the perfect insight into cruising for the first timer cruiser. Without paying thousands, you can have an all inclusive cruise around the Mediterranean to see if cruising is for you. Which I’m sure it will be – most people onboard a cruise are first timers or returning customers!

Although cheap cruises are more available, it doesn’t mean they travel to unknown destinations. How does Barcelona or Palma sound? Maybe Rome or Pisa? Or one of the many destinations in the Caribbean? Whilst there are cruises that travel to some of the lesser known destinations, which are fantastic for those who are looking for a bit of excitement and intrigue on their holiday, the majority of cheap cruises travel popular, well known destinations.

When in port at one of the various locations around the world, there are always excursions available. Whether it’s stopping at Naples and viewing Mount Vesuvius or getting a coach into Toulon and seeing the places that inspired Van Gogh, some of the sights are awe inspiring. However, these excursions aren’t included and an additional fee is payable. The excursions aren’t compulsory though, so your cruise can stay a cheap cruise by either walking into the town or simply staying onboard and enjoying the piece and tranquility.

Cheap cruises are becoming more and more available each year. The number of people cruising is expected to reach over 12 million this year, meaning more cruise lines offering more cruises at more affordable prices, meaning now is the perfect time to enjoy cruising.

Cruise1st have a multiple range of cheap cruises available from a numbers of cruise liners including royal caribbean cruises, island cruises and celebrity cruises. Cruise1st also have all inclusive cruise for those travellers who doesn’t want extrenal surprise payment.

Cheap Cruise… The Absolute Best Kind of Cruising Experience

Do you want to take a cruise… a really cheap cruise?

Are you looking for the best cruise deal? Do you want to get great discounts?

Here are a few ways you can go on a cheap cruise:

          1. One way is if you check out sites like Travelocity and Hotwire to see what kind of deals they have on cruise vacations. Travelocity cruise collects many travel packages from many of the ship lines (including Holland America and Norwegian)together so you can select the best deals that are right for you. You’re sure to find deals there!

          2. Another way is to go directly to the cruise lines websites and ask to speak directly to one of their expert planners through their toll free reservation numbers. They may have the “inside scoop” on ways to get a cheap cruise from their site.

For additional information, click to the sites like Royal Caribbean or Princess or Carnival. If you speak to enough of their reservation specialists, you’re sure to find a cheap cruise!

          3. Another way to get great rates is to book a reservation at the last minute. Like many other businesses in the hospitality industry, ships have a capacity they try to run at. If they haven’t sold out their capacity – a certain number of reservations – they’ll give great discounts at blow-out rates.

The result? A cheap cruise for you! This is probably the best way to go… …the only drawback is that you have to make your travel plans at the last minute. But if you’re the kind of person who just wants to go on a cruise – and you’re able to leave at a moment’s notice – the end result is that you can enjoy some of the best bargains around.

          4. Still another way to go is to find a few of your closest friends who also want to take a vacation and all of you book at once. Many of the cruise lines offer multiple passenger discounts when you make a group reservation (for example) ten people or more. If you can find that number of people who are willing to go, you get to go on a holiday for free! Or, you can split the discounts between you and so that everyone pays a very low rate.

          5. Yet another way to go on a cheap cruise is to book a shorter duration or make a reservation on a ship line that is not as well known. For example, if you’re willing to forego a great Bermuda or that glorious Alaska cruise, you can find a a discount by taking a Yangtze (up the Yangtze river in China) or a Galveston cruise or a Nile cruise or a Mississippi cruise. So many options! Or, save your money this year for a great world cruise next year and just book a dinner cruise for you and a loved one. You’ll enjoy it… and you’ll enjoy saving for your holiday in the future.

          6. The last way to get a great trip is to get a job on board. If you work on these floating hotels, you’ll be able to go on the trip and get paid for it! Sure, you won’t spend as much time on the deck soaking up the sun, but you’ll still be cruising around on the ocean in a beautiful and luxurious environment. It won’t be as a passenger, but it will be a cheap cruise trip you won’t forget.

Cheap Cruise Deals Equal A Luxury Holiday

Cheap cruise deals are commomplace these days with many holidaymakers taking advantage of the excellent facilities on board today’s cruise liners for little out of pocket expense.

What constitutes a cheap cruise deal? Well, I recently returned from a Royal Caribbean holiday through Key West and Cancun, Mexico, enjoying five days and four nights of total luxury for four hundred bucks. To me, that was a cheap cruise deal well worth the effort.

There is so much competition among cruise lines today that finding a cheap cruise deal is easy. Magnificent ships built to carry thousands of passengers are luring a lot of first time cruisers off the land and onto the water. Cruise line competitiveness is only intensifying with the major companies getting involved in recent years in a “let’s see who can build the biggest ship” type of battle. These ships obviously need to be filled with passengers and cheap cruise deals are there to be enjoyed.

Don’t get a cheap cruise deal confused with a cheap holiday. Sure if you want to stay in one of the prime state rooms you’re going to be paying for the privilege but my experience tells me that a cruise should be enjoyed from the ships decks and wonderful amenities and not from your state room. If that’s what you’re after then you might want to consider another type of holiday.

So which cruise line do you select for a cheap cruise deal? Carnival, Celebrity, Crystal, Disney, Royal Caribbean… it depends on where you want to go in the world. Today, cruise lines are offering more of everything; more choices and simply more service. It’s all aimed at ensuring you just have more fun. Let’s face it, they want your repeat business.

There are many areas online for you to locate the best cheap cruise deals. I know of people who are total cruise junkies ( up to nine cruises a year ) who are always monitoring the latest cheap cruise deals. Cruise lines often advertise limited deals; you’ll want to be quick for these. Many people prefer to travel in groups which can reduce the overall cost of the cruise even further but for group deals, you’ll want to speak with your cruise line agent.

If you are a first timer and don’t know the process in first, locating, and then booking a cheap cruise deal then the best advice is to speak with someone who has done it before. Even better, your local travel agent will be able to answer most of your questions and if they can’t, then the alarm bells should be sounding!

Cheap cruise deals but not cheap cruise holidays. More like cheap cruise deals and luxury fun-filled holidays. That is the nature of cruising on the world’s oceans today. And your hip pocket won’t be unduly ravaged.

              Cheap Cruises – Cheaply Luxurious!

One of best forms of spending the holidays is to go on a cruise. Usually, cruises last from 3 days to about 3 months. The price range is also different depending on the cruise.

Do things such as a cheap cruise even exist? The surprising answer is yes. Various cruise lines offer different package depending on the client’s needs and budget. The cheap cruises usually take care of food, accommodation, and all the amusements.

Contrary to popular belief, a cheap cruise never means bad service or accommodation. Cruise lines treat all their clients equally and ensure that everyone has access to all their services and facilities.

What else is included in a cheap cruise?
              • In most cases, the cheap cruise price is inclusive of
              • Flights, connections and sea plans
              • The cruise itself
              • The amusements on-board
              • All your meals
              • Services at any time of the day.
              • Room service
              • Sauna baths, Gym, swimming polls, spas etc.

What to expect on this trip?

Shopping is possible both on land as well as on the sea. Beauty parlours and salons are available as well. Cruise lines also offer shore excursions to every client of theirs.

Cheap cruises, although cheap, are kitted out with hydraulic stabilisers that will greatly reduce the motion of the ship in bad weather. This ensures that you don’t suffer sea-sickness even in foul weather.

As you know, taking about holidays automatically brings in the concept of useful tips.

Some of the more useful tips are

              a) Cheap cruises, just like their more expensive sisters, vary greatly in structure and size. Some carry lesser people to smaller water bodies while others have a much greater carrying capacity.

              b) You can choose the room you want on the ship depending on the amount you’ve paid.

              c) Choose a cruise that takes you to places you haven’t been to before. Cheap cruises to the Caribbean Islands are available throughout the year. During summers, Alaska is an ideal destination for cruises.

              d) Make sure to bring along your sleeping bag so that you can spend a night on the beach. Usually, your baggage is collected one day before the date of scheduled departure. This means that to experience the sea at night, you need to carry extra clothing.

              e) If the cruise you have chosen moves from country to country, its advisable to carry your passport as it serves as a form of identification like no other.

              f) Cheap cruises are extremely informal during the waking hours but most nocturnal activities are extremely formal and require that you carry along an extra set of formal clothing.

              g) Although the amusements on board the ship are included in the cost of the cruise, day trips and shore excursions may cost extra.

              h) Make sure that you carry along your travel insurance. Most of the cheap cruise companies cannot be held responsible for any misplaced or damaged belongings.

              i) Some cheap cruise liners give you the option of checking out the cruise liner before booking your ticket. Make sure you make the full use of this option and ensure the quality of the ship before booking.

Checking out these tips and following them will make sure that your cruise is an unforgettable experience. But do remember that even if it’s a cheap cruise, it should offer you the ultimate satisfaction and comfort during and after the trip as a vacation is for relaxation and not just another way to get stressed.
